Dusan,
Thanks a lot, I´m about halfway through it. If you like I´ll send you what I´ve done so far so that you can proof-read it. I´m sure there´s lots of errors. Then I´ll do the rest and send it along too.
(contact me at tomhogers@cantv.net please mention Wakan in title).
Many thanks,
Tom |

The language pack now contains French translation by Gaétan Martel.
You can download the whole pack (French, English, Czech) from http://wakan.manga.cz/files/wakan_lng.zip. Unzip it to LNG subfolder of wakan.

Hello.
I would ask you about the state of the Spanish translation for Wakan. I saw in this thread some efforts from Tom and Dusan but I don't know how is the progress.
I'm Spanish, so I can check (or translate) part or all the UI file.
Thanks and best regards. |

Hi,
I've nearly finished the Spanish translation, just a few more days to go. It sometimes gets difficult to find the spare time.
As I mentioned to Dusan (still waiting for his reply), please contact me at tomhogers@cantv.net mentioning Wakan in the title, and I will send you a copy for proof-reading. If not, just wait until it is posted and polish up the finished product!
Cheers,
Tom |

Unicode is not supported in .LNG files
It is very awkward, I admit. You would probably expect that a multi-language tool like Wakan would use Unicode inside-out, but it is not so. For user interface translations Wakan requires ANSI encodings. Please save your .LNG file in corresponding ANSI encoding.
This problem is the cause why the Spanish translation Tom Hodgers has sent me is not working.

Annick,
thanks for your offer to do the Dutch translation. I think that nobody else is working on it now. I'll include your .LNG to Wakan distribution as soon as you send it to me.

|

hi all guys,
I'm currently at work on 1.01 version of the it.lng.
I've noticed that there are about one hundred new lines in the en.lng file in the 1.66 against the 1.65 release, and by reviewing version 1.00 of it.lng I was thinking if (probably yes) lines before the newer are unchanged from previous version, so the point is: does it exist a release history change for the files or not? if yes, can you publish it, pls? it would be easier to have aligned files in the different languages.
Other thing, the link http://wakan.manga.cz/files/wakan_lng.zip doesn't work, or at least I'm not able to get the file
Thank you and bye all

Thanks a lot powerwade.
I'm also really glad that I can announce you that Adam Zuzañski has sent me a Polish translation - it will be included in 1.67 complete package which I'll upload tomorrow.

I hope, that my translation is passable, i will try to improve it in future. I have problems with too little space reserved for some words in Wakan. Also reaching meaning of some english words was little tricky, but Czech language version help me greatly.
Thanks a lot for including it so quickly, it will certainly help some people in Poland. Could you put also Polish option in installer?
Regards

I must admit I did not think about translations to other languages than English and Czech and thus it didn't occur to me to reserve more space for all the labels but if there are some single instances where you would like more space for the translation, please let me know, it's usually easy for me to fix it (just by rearranging some labels).
I'll rebuild the installer soon and put Polish option in it.

Hello,
Wakan has definitely been by far the most useful discovery of mine in my studying Japanese (a little less than a year now). I would most gladly contribute to its further improvement by doing a Bulgarian translation - however, I cannot reach the original file in English. |

Hi there,
Although there's a German translation announced in the starterpost I couldn't find any German .lng files.
So I started my own de.lng and I'm at around number 300 so far.
Just want to make sure that there are no other German language files around before I do the rest.
Greatings,
Max |

Hi Max,
very recently the announced de.lng has been sent to me. Tomorrow I'll include it into 1.67 and reupload it. I'm really sorry that this fact has not been clearly stated in this forum and thanks a lot for your work. Please check this forum tomorrow, I'll put a link to the file here.
