Anyone interested in a free download of the EIJIRO dictionary?

Free Japanese-English dictionary download for a limited time

"I have some spare server bandwidth available, so I thought I'd post a copy of EIJIRO, a comprehensive "open source" Japanese-English dictionary containing some 1.4 million entries. It's got lots of example sentences, which makes it good for English -> Japanese translation ... the only drawback is that the furigana readings are not built in (EDICT is a good companion for that).

Normally you can get this delivered to you in Japan on a CD for the cost of shipping, or download it if you have an @nifty account. When I was in Japan in June, I picked up a copy of the v.86 version from May, 2005.

Here it is, roughly 144 MB in size.

This file will remain posted until the end of August or until my transfer quota (1.5 GB, or about 9 downloads) is used up, whichever comes first. I may put it back online in future months if bandwidth allows."
