Another WaKan user posted the following message in the "General info" forum a while back; perhaps some of the fonts he has uploaded at the site he gives might be of interest to you.

Here are some more fonts I found, note that I haven't gone through them (I only downloaded them and gave some a quick glance, most look handwritten and a few are missing kanji and so on). You guys are welcome to any of them, just don't use download accelerators please, the site should be fast enough to not use them.

I recommend the one in the file named "HGRSKP.TTF"; but I don't know what gyosho means (it appears not to be in EDICT, at least as far as WaKan is concerned Sad ), so it may not be what you are looking for.

I'm sorry, I don't know any free Japanese gyousho fonts (gyousho - 行書 - medium calligraphic style, "flowing" script). There are however several chinese 行書 and 草書 fonts available (but I don't know the links unfortunately, just try to search Google for free Chinese fonts) - but they're of course missing kana and several Japanese-only kanji.

The HGSekaiShotai font Tony mentioned is the best kaisho (楷書) font I've seen up to now. Highly recommended.

By the way, there is a very nice 行書 font available in CorelDRAW package. But it is not free, I can't distribute it. If you happen to have the CorelDRAW product, take the font from there.
