Hello!
This is not wakan-related...
I want to learn japanese calligraphy. I had only two months of class (but just one hour per week) with a japanese calligraphy teacher. I was great but it didn't last enough
I would ask you if you know about any free web or interesting book, useful to learn calligraphy.
Yes, I know that is very important to see how it is done, and a techard that corrects you, but until I can go to classes again, i would like to use my suzuri!!
Thanks a lot and best regards. |

Hello!
this is indeed an interesting topic for me. I have a class with calligraphy teacher every week and because of that I did not actually search for calligraphy lessons online and so I don't know any interesting websites. Somewhile ago I came upon some website with calligraphy lessons, but it was very expensive.
I have only some printed materials, like several issues of 不二 magazine (issued by Japanese Calligraphy association, 日本書道教育学会) which has some nice samples but it is entirely in Japanese. But unfortunately no self-study lessons.
