Does Wakan don't do popups work with MS Word and/or PDFs? Try this:

To show pop-up descriptions for folder and desktop items
1. Open Folder Options in Control Panel.
• Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
• Double-click Folder Options.
2. On the View tab, select the Show pop-up description for folder and desktop items check box.
