I've just found a small problem when using romaji. The reading of katakana ッシュ shows up as sshi instead of sshu.

The シュ (shu) is correct though.

Could you give instructions for reproducing this problem? Where are you in the program, and what are you doing? When using Roumaji for what? I played around a little, and couldn't find the behavior you indicated, but I was probably looking in the wrong places.

Just type "sshu" and "shu" in Editor/Translator, Japanese mode. WaKan should be set up to display reading in Romaji. The problem appears when you type in hiragana or katakana. I'm using WaKan 1.67.

Filip,

The problem occurs for all syllables ssha, sshu, ssho whenever kana are left as kana in the Translator/Editor-- there is nothing special about sshu and nothing special about katakana; happens also for hiragana. The Romanization routine is apparently ignoring the small a, u or o. If this is part of a word normally written with kanji and one presses the space bar to convert to kanji, the Romanization is corrected.

Steps to reproduce:

(1) In Tools->Settings... , Romanization tab, select radio button "Show phonetic in Romaji [sic]." On the Text/Translator tab, check the box labeled "Display transcript above kana".

(2) In Translator/Editor, do either of the following:
(A) Select kana mode, and type in (for example) issho followed by a space, or
(B) Select kanji mode, and type in issho followed by Enter (so that the kana are left as kana)

In both cases, the Roumaji above the kana will read "issi".

Note, however, that in kanji mode, if one does (A) the Roumaji are corrected when the word is changed to kanji.

Actually, the problem is more general-- same occurs for kkya and ttya, for example.

Thanks for the report. I'll fix this one.
