|

Hi,
my problem is that after installing wakan 1.67, the menu options and everything are weird strings like:
" Áàçó äàíèõ ïðèêëàä³â íå çíàéäåíî. Çàâàíòàæòå ¿¿ ç âåáñàéòó WaKan.ä³â íå çíàéäåíî. Çàâàíòàæòå ¿¿ ç âåáñàéòó WaKan."
I am guessing i am missing some font or something, but i have the east asian fonts installed (the actual write-in field works properly", also i have tried to install it in german and english with restart everytime.
Any idea what i need to change?
i'm working on a Windows XP (German) OEM Samsung NC10 .
i have "germany" region set up , east asian languages installed and tried both english(USA) and german as language version for programms that do not support unix code. All this in region and language setup |

Hi,
please try moving all .lng files to some other folder. This should reset the default language to english. If the problem persists, please try removing all Wakan registry: HKCU/Software/Labyrinth/Wakan. |

Hi,
Thank you very much.
Your first solution worked fine but left me with an error message everytime on opening: "language file ua.lng was not found, it should be in your wakan folder..."
So i tried cleaning the registry, which returned me to the first time - choose your language menu. amongst others, the weird strings (probably a language i have no fonts installed of?) were choosable as well, i chose german and everything works fine now =)
Thanks again,
Happy new Year

Hi, I'm sending this message just to say that I had exactly this same problem (I guess that my father — who are studying japanese — inadvertently clicked OK in the first window without choosing the language).
Now Wakan is 100% ok in my old machine with Windows 98SE.
Thank you tntdynamight and wakan! |
