Hello again.
I'm quite new to WaKan. When I save my text in the Text Editor (as file type *.wtt), the file is not recognised by my computer, which shows me a list of programmes I might like to use to open it. By adding Wakan to this list and ticking: "Always use this programme to open this file type," the file icon displays the WaKan logo and I thought the problem was solved.
BUT: when I double-click on the file to open it (whether WaKan is open or not), I get the following error message:
"GUI translation file en.Ing was not found. It should be located in WaKan folder. No translation has been loaded."
And when I click OK, a second message appears: "File WAKAN.CHR was not found. This file is required for application to run. Please download this file from WAKAN website. Application will now be terminated."
However, I do already have the file WAKAN.CHR 26SEP04 (character dictionary), because it is included in WaKan Complete Installer 1.67 (12/28/06) - 11 MB which I just installed last week!
This is not a huge problem as I can still open my file from within WaKan: Editor --> Open --> choose file type *.wtt and search.
But it would be nice to open it normally by clicking on it - do you have any suggestions?
In case this helps, I use Windows XP with Mozilla Firefox.
EDIT: It's important for me to save WITH furigana: I've noticed that if I save text without, then reopen it in WaKan and generate fresh furigana, it's not quite the same (e.g. watashi becomes watakushi).
Many thanks,
Lucy. |
